Caleb's Vintage Print Quilt

My friend and fellow army wife made Caleb this beautiful baby quilt!
She is super talented. Thank you Amanda. Caleb LOVES it, and so do I :)

His new hang out spot.

Trying to eat it.

It is double sided with different Peter Rabbit vintage prints.

This is my yard sale find. I have been looking for a
coffee carafe for when we have friends over. This one
costs me $2.00! It has barely been used, or maybe
it hasn't even been used at all. It is a little 90's styled
but I don't care. It works and it was a steal!

Here is a vintage thermos that I grabbed for $.50!
These sell for big bucks on etsy. I am going to keep it
though. I am hoping I get to put hot chocolate in it this fall.

Here is one my mom may try and steal from me.
It is a vintage bow hat with black netting. This was
$1.00. I had to grab it before someone else did.
Now I just have to find a dress
to pair it with :) My Mrs. Cleaver side is coming out.
I also hope to hit a baby consignment sale in the morning
with my other good friend. I hope you all have a Happy
Yardsale-ing weekend!

Free Bee FABULOUS Friday!

I want this set, I LOVE this set. It is the Better Homes and Gardens collection. I imagine myself sitting outside in the morning with my coffee, enjoying the cool summer morning air. . .or at night eating my delicious grilled steak and drinking my sweet tea as the sun goes down. I am in la la land. Do you guys have patio furniture? Do you use it a lot? If I do get furniture, should I get a dining set or an outdoor living room set? HELP!!!
On another note, today I will be cleaning up, updating the shop, meeting a friend for coffee and getting my hair fixed at the salon! I have only had my hair colored at a salon one time and that was right before I got married. My nanny was a beautician and she always did my hair. Yesterday I tried to self-help my hair and now I look like a cheetah. Thanks to my wonderful husband, he is giving me an early anniversary present and paying for me to get my hair dyed professionally. I am so excited!
So happy Friday to all. . . have a GREAT weekend.

Coffee Snob

Maybe this will make me a froo froo, hoidie toidie coffee snob but I couldn't help but want one of these this morning as I was handed an ugly old styrofoam cup through the drive thru. I think my coffee tastes better when I drink it from something pretty. . .and this coffee cup cozy is sure a pretty thang! Tell me what ya think.
I found these from Laura Bucci's shop.

Deary Me!

I took a little break. Not really on purpose, just kinda happened. So here I am to tell you where I have been and what I have been doing, I know you all are just dying to know.(Can you hear my sarcasm???)
My mama and sister came last Monday to see us. My birthday was Tuesday and my mama took me out for lunch and my Sethy Poo took me out for dinner and got me a delicious ice cream cake (what a hub!). Then, Seth found out that he could take leave for the 4th of July. We packed up Thursday night and drove all day Friday with my sister and mama back to our hometown. We were only able to stay Saturday and Sunday, and believe me. . .we wanted to stay forever, but all good things must come to an end. We packed up once again and drove back all day Monday. This was a very quick, unplanned trip, but we really enjoyed it. We just wish that Seth's family would hurry up and move to Virginia so we could drive to see them. They live in Texas and we have to fly to see them. The plane ticket prices have been crazy. I have looked as far out as September and it would still be over $700 for us to get plane tickets. I am still watching for a good price though because we would LOVE for Seth's brother and his family to see Caleb for the first time and to see Caleb's Honey and Pops again. . .maybe we will just plant that money tree!
Sidenote- Speaking of money tree, last week my mom and I found a ten dollar bill all ripped into pieces in my front yard. Unfortunately I only found 1/2 of it :( Who would tear up a $10 bill??? Thats 5 McD's iced coffee's!!!
Anyways, back to the story. So we finally made it home after a TERRIBLE drive through West Virginia. The only good thing about West Virginia that I can think of are our friends Lori and JD! (Sorry West Virginia readers, please don't be angry!)
We are back now and trying to get back into the swing of our Kentucky life. Tonight I will go to salsa aerobics. It is one of those things that I dread making myself go to but once I get there I am glad I went. Plus I have 10 pounds of baby weight still hanging onto me and it must go.
So here are some random pictures. It is good to be back home! I hope you all enjoyed your fourth of July. We spent it with my sister and her new husband at their adorable cottage. We ate cheeseburgers on the porch and had apple pie ala mode. Can't find a more American meal than that :) We also got to see fireworks of which Caleb LOVED. Fourth of July is my favorite holiday and it was great to be able to spend it with family!

Caleb decided we were taking too long

so he took charge of the wheel.

I hope my mom is embarrased to see this one!
This was at my birthday dinner. What is she
doing you ask? We may never know.

My mom brought Caleb this exersaucer.
He LOVES it!

Can't wait to look through this magazine.

It was a brithday gift that is perfect for muah!

Okay, and here is my Goodwill find.

I love this pot but what do I do with it?

Any ideas anyone?

Please Pray!

My dear friend Kristen's little girl was attacked by a dog yesterday. Please pray for them. She has already had one surgery and will have to have another one. It attacked her and bit her nose and her head. They will have to do a skin graft for her poor little nose. This is such a tramatizing time for the family and especially this little 6 year old. Your prayers will be greatly appreciated!

Here she is. They call her "The Genius" :) Isn't she beautiful?

Caleb's first girlfriends. He LOVES to play with them.

The Hippy on the left The Genius on the right.

We love them.

Baby Cups. . .cutie patootie!

This is my newest idea. I think it is so special when you receive a personalized gift as a baby present. Most babies have the little sterling silver baby cups, but this is a twist on the old tradition. These teacups have the babies initials on the front and all the birthday information on the back. Plus, you can add a sweet message to the inside! This one is blue but I also make them in pink and green. I think they would make a lovely gift for a new mommy. It is something that the little baby can pass on to his/her children one day. I made this one for my little bambino :)
And speaking of mommy's, mine is our her way with my sister to visit us this week! I love when our families can see our little Caleb :)
Btw- Did I tell you I am a twit? Yes, I tweet :)
Happy Monday!

Free Bee FABULOUS Friday :)

This is a 3 mushroom, moss terrarium. If I could buy one thing today, I would buy this! It is absolutely perfect for people like us who live in townhomes/apartments and aren't able to grow our own plants in a garden. Plus, it is just so smurfy and beautiful!

Check out beadstyle's shop!

Givin' it a try

Super Caleb!

Our first try at cloth diapers. I managed to whip this one up while Caleb napped this morning. I did a trial diaper two days ago so I was able to make this one a lot faster and it is much prettier (believe me, you do not want to see the first one!).He has had this one on for 1 hour. So far so good. Now we just have to see how well it holds up in the wash.

I couldn't help but personalize it :)

See, happy little cloth diaper man ;)

4 months and going strong!

Okay, how did this happen? My little teanie baby bear turned 4 months old this past week! Even with all the other craziness going on, we managed to sneak in an at-home photo shoot. Here are some of my fav's :)

LOVE these precious little feet

. . .and fingers

Caleb has a little monkey binkie that Seth's aunt Sharon
sent him and it has become his absolute favorite thing!
Of course, he usually doesn't wear it on his head ;)

I just love his big blue eyes in this one

This face cracks me up every time I look at it!

This is the new thing to do. Put the sign in front of his face.

I made him this little onesie with his name on it.
I have been wanting to since he was born and
finally decided to make myself do it!

Laughing as he falls over :)

Also! Most of you are going to think I am crazy, but I decided to give cloth diapers a go. I purchased this super cute diaper cover on etsy, here (or click on the picture and it will take you to the etsy shop).
I spent more than what I planned on but only because I will be able to use this as an outfit bottom with a little white T-shirt for him. So it is like a diaper/outfit. Plus, if the trial run of cloth diapers doesn't work out, I won't have lost my money completely :) Now I am trying to figure out the best way to make my own (I know,I am super crazy, I know!) Seth isn't really crazy about this idea just because he thinks it will be way too messy and he knows that I like to get ideas, spend money on trying them out and then forget about them because I discovered a new idea. . .oops. After I realized though that I change the majority of the diapers, I talked him into giving it a try. It will save us money, but is it worth the trouble? We will find out! If any of you use cloth diapers, please give me any and all tips!

I love this fabric. It's called "Zoo".

It's ready!

Go ahead! Click him :)
My new blog look :)
This is the CHANGE I have been talking about for the last week!
Me and my wonderful papermepretty etsy friend, well mostly the etsy friend :), made banners, pictures, avatars, business cards and a signature to help connect my shop and my blog. She did such a great job! I am so excited to show it all off. What do you think?

I will be getting rid of all my other blogs (why do I have more than one??? I like to talk too much!!!) So this will be my one and only blog spot.

Also, make sure to check back tomorrow, because this time I have a surprise for you all! It might just be something free, but I dunno ;)

With Mucho Love and my REAL hand signature,

Sick and Busy. . .Busy and Sick

Guess what I have been lately? You guessed it. . .sick and busy. The busy part is pretty much over, but the sick part isn't. I am just waiting for my fever to go back up. Right now I am all hot and clammy because my fever is down. Oh what a world.

This is an example of what I made them, except they said
things like "Mr., Mrs., Maid of Honor, etc"

On the other hand, I had a pretty big order of
mugs to ship this week. I was so excited to do this
order because it was for a wedding. When my sister
got married I gave her a shower and made mugs for
all the girls as shower favors. The girl that ordered
these particular mugs wanted them for her wedding
party. A very fun order to make. And if you are
wondering what the cute little orange things are on
the box, they are Caleb's cute little bootie rattles.
My friend Stefanie bought them for him and I tried
them out this week. He loves them!

Here is my cute little baby bear. I found this outfit
on ebay and it is my all time favorite. It is "le top"
brand and I believe I paid 99 cents + shipping for it.

Yepp, it's teething time.

LOVES eating his clothes.

Nothing is sweeter than a sleeping baby, especially when
it's your baby :)Don't you just love when they sleep with
their little hiney in the air?

I love this one.

My shop and blog changes are coming soon!
I can barely wait to share them with you all :)
