Look what I just bought!!!

Homemade laundry detergent from etsy!!! When we went to visit my family, Caleb slept on a blanket that was washed in Whisk and he broke out all over his face. I am glad it happened though because I almost bought a big thing of Tide and after the Whisk broke him out, I have been using the rest of the pure detergent and have been wondering what I should buy next. I was looking on etsy this morning and came across this homemade detergent! You only have to use 1 tablespoon for regular washers and 1/2 tablespoon for HE washers. Plus I paid $4.00 total for it and it will wash 16-32 loads (depending on washers). I could have bought a larger amount for a couple dollars more, but I want to see how it does first before I buy a lot. I am sooo excited though!!! You should really check out her etsy shop. It has some really neat things in it for great prices! Lip balm, bath salts and food!

Mirror Mirror on the wall. . .

Everytime we hold Caleb up to the mirror, he laughs at himself! He must think he is pretty cute too :) Excuse the smear marks, Caleb enjoys pushing his nose against the glass, hehe.

300th post!!!

This is actually the 302nd b/c I totally missed 300!!! Boy I talk a lot!
Here are some pics of our Memorial Day weekend :)

firsts

We went to the waterpark on post yesterday. Caleb, of course, didn't get in the water yet but he loved standing by the little fountains and being sprinkled with the water. He did really good! We stayed for about 2 1/2 hours and then he was ready to go home and nap. We also had a great cookout with some of our friends on post. Hamburgers, chips and brownies with icing :) I will post pictures soon, but now I am going to go enjoy the last day of Seth's Memorial Day break. To Louisville we go!

I sat Caleb down yesterday so I could stick something in the oven and I came back to find him like this

peacock tea cup!

Caleb went for his 2 month check up 2 weeks ago (so really he was 2 1/2 months). He only cried a little bit when he got his shots, but he kept a fever for 5 days! He weighed 12lb 10oz. What a chunker! We spent the last two weeks visiting family for my sisters wedding. I will post wedding pictures later, I think I have posted enough pics for one post! I have been busy doing my percy and paula peacock mugs and prints. I put my latest creations up there. Now I need to go wash dishes and clean off the stairs (do any of you guys' stairs get piled up with stuff that you are too lazy to take up? Mine always do!!! I am lazy.)

Anywho, this was your Wade update. Over and out!

P.s. Caleb also just found his hands. He is grabbing everything! I love to watch him play because he is actually interested in most of the toys we have been shoving in his face for several weeks. He just had to find those hands first :)

i laughed

In the midst of my day full of doctors and dentists appointments filled with bad news and pain (I have had nightmares about the day I would have to go back to the doctors, and I hate the dentist always!) I came across this funny little blurp. It made me laugh a little. Leave a comment if you laughed too :)

When walking in the woods the other day, I found someone's skeletal remains. I called the police and, while waiting for them to arrive, I couldn't help thinking to myself, "How did this person end up here all alone and why did he have antlers?"

Honey's. . . we're home!

Hello to all. We are now back in good ol' Kentucky. Today I have so many things to do that I already know I will never finish them all. The house has zero groceries, so that is where Caleb and I are headed. I called to ask the commissary if they take expired coupons (just like a couple of you told me to because your commissary did) and she was pretty rude and short. She said they didn't. That has kind of spoiled my excitement for going to the Commissary. Now I am debating whether or not to go! Anywho, we're back and I will catch you all up on what's been going on and I also need to read up on all of your blogs. I haven't been able to check my mail yet either! Aye yai yai :) Oh, and tomorrow I have a Dr's appt and a dentist appt. all in the same day so I will enjoy this Tuesday while I can, plus American Idol comes on tonight. . . Go Adam!!! Happy Tuesday to all!

Just a little tipperoo

Since this blog is called "Remember me? I'm in the army too!" I suppose I should post something about army life every now and then, huh? Today, I was on coupon.com trying to find diaper coupons. I started looking through all of their coupons. Most all of them are for $1.00 off or more, but they are all brand name products and I shop at wal-mart and usually buy the great value brand. The commissary carries all name brand at great prices, but we still can shop cheaper at Wal-mart with the great value brand (only by a few cents for each item, but it really does add up in the end). I started thinking about how great it would be to be able to use coupons.com coupons at the commissary but I doubted that the commissary accepted coupons since the prices were already so low and we don't have to pay taxes. I picked up the phone and gave the commissary a little ring-a-ling. And guess what? They totally accept coupons (hmmm, this warm air is making me sound like a Californian :)). I can't wait to get back home and use my coupons at the commissary to see if my grocery bill is lower than my wal-mart bill!!! The only thing that stinks is that the Commissary is not open on Mondays, which is when I usually do my grocery shopping and it is not a one stop shop store like Wal-mart, but whatever. If I save money it will be well worth it. So, for all my fellow military families, take a look at coupons.com (or any coupons for that matter). Maybe I am preaching to the choir. Please let me know if any of you have price compared. I would love to know what you think is cheaper!!!

You guessed it. . . HMD!!!

Every year I have sat in church and listened to the Mothers Day message. This year, as I listened, it took on a whole new meaning. You really never understand the mind of a mother until you are one yourself. The pastor was talking about how there are plenty of good mothers but not near enough Godly mothers. He told us that no matter what, you should never give up on your children and never ever stop praying for them. I pray for my little Caleb every day. I am already praying that he will have a heart that longs to serve God and that he will strive to always do the right thing. This is my first mothers day, and many of yours as well. I wish you all a great day and a great year full of sleep (yeah right!) and joy (that one is easier to achieve) and many days filled with smiles and kisses from your children :)

pigs fly and swines flew

Dear fellow bloggers and followers,

I am in Virginia visiting family. My sister is getting married in less than 2 weeks, so we are trying to get everything in order. I have to tell you that they have dial up, yes dial up, and my posting will be sporatic and almost non-existant until I return home. Please forgive me? Kinda glad I am not at home right now though because they say there has been a case of swine flu on post! Eeekkkk. I am much more worried for Caleb's sake than mine. Wash your hands!!!
Anywhoosle, you guys have a fun week. Don't forget about me even though I won't be around as much. I promise great things will happen when I return!

With much lurv,

Kathlini bikini you little ol' weanie

Free Bee Fab Fri. . .I'm a hippy at heart

I've really had this hankerin' to wear something tie dyed. This I found on etsy in this shop. It is by tiemee, cute name huh? Anybody else like tie dye out there??? I would try it on my own, but I think I prefer to buy someone elses creation than to mess in fabric dye. This dress is so cute though.
