Postponing

We are getting on a plane headed for Louisiana today.  Seth's grandpa passed away Wednesday and we will be joining his family for the funeral.  Everyone is very upset because it was completely unexpected. Looking at the positive side of this situation, Caleb and I will finally get to meet several of Seth's family members that we have never had the chance to meet before and I think if his grandpa were here, he would be happy about that :)  "Pops" (Seth's grandpa) lost his wife two years ago, right after Seth and I were married.  He really missed her and I can just imagine the two of them holding hands and eating ice cream cones in heaven together today.  Many will mourn the loss of his presence here on earth, but he wouldn't come back here for anything.  He is finally where he has been wanting to be for the past 2 very long years and when I think about that, I just have to smile.

I wanted you all to know that I will be postponing posting the Dandy Ball Hopper winner until Tuesday when we return.  I thought about going ahead and choosing now but I didn't think that was fair since I had said that I would leave the comments open until Sunday, so now you have until Tuesday.

Thanks for your patience, your prayers would be greatly appreciated :)

Man Mustache

I am working on a custom mug order for the groomsmen in a wedding.  I loved making this, and more than that, I loved taking the picture of myself with a mug mustache.  The mystery of what I will be giving the men in my family has been solved!

Udder Cover

I was sent an email from a local store here where I live and I HAVE to share this deal with you all (and no I am not getting any commission or special points by telling you- haha).  This website is giving you the chance to get a free udder cover (nursing cover).  They are originally $32.00 plus $8.95 for shipping.  But, right now they have a great deal, infact it really doesn't get any better than this: they are giving you the cover for free, all you have to do is pay the $8.95 shipping!  I have been wanting one, but all the pretty ones were very expensive, so I just resorted to using a blanket.  I have already ordered myself one though, you really couldn't even make yourself one for this cheap!  So, if you need a present to give someone, or you are expecting and would like one for yourself, just visit uddercovers.com and enter CHORUS at the checkout for the coupon to apply.

I love these days

Caleb just turned 8 months old on Sunday.  I truly can not believe where our time together has gone.  Before I know it, we will be celebrating his 1st birthday.  He is so special to us.  I can't imagine what my days were like before he was a part of our little family.  A couple of days ago, Caleb and I spent some time in his nursery cuddling and kissing.  I love these days where I can nurse my little sweet baby and give him kisses.  He grabs my face in his little hands and burries his mouth into my cheeks.  He stares into my eyes and smiles and just wants to be held and loved...these moments will come and go.  I know that one day he will find another girl that he thinks is sweet and pretty and I will no longer be his "girlfriend", and even though these moments will be gone before I know it, I will always remember them in my heart.  Caleb will always be my sweet, chubby cheeked, baby boy.

Read Me

Okay, my title has nothing to do with the actual topic of this post, I just wanted to see how many of you would "read me" (mean, right?)

Currently- Caleb is refusing to nap.  At this very moment he is screaming upstairs.  I know I should go get him, right?  But really, he NEEDS this nap that he is refusing to take.  When I bring him downstairs he is fussy and unhappy, why?  Because he needs a nap and is refusing to take one...I mean refusing!!!

Currently again- Seth is out of the house via football game until 2:30pm.  I (surprisingly) have been very motivated.  I finally switched out my summer clothes, replacing them with two years ago's winter clothes (because last years are all maternity).  I have re-evaluated my clothing situation and decided that I truly want to take all the clothes that I just brought downstairs and give them to the Goodwill.  They just don't fit- or they look like teenie bopper clothing.  But, alas, my budget requires that I push through and make use of these old long sleeves until I can win the lottery, which may be very difficult considering that I don't even play the lottery.

Currently again again- I give up- Caleb has been crying for way too long and is still going strong.  Today, he will not learn to take a nap on his own.  Maybe tomorrow- yeah right.

Conclusion-  I will leave you with our fall family picture.  This was taken last Saturday when we went to the Bardstown Arts and Crafts Festival, where we bought local honey.

Remember- Tomorrow I will be choosing the giveaway winner, so don't forget to leave a comment!!!

We like the door view

Caleb asked if we could have a self-portrait session at our back door today. I happily obliged ;)

Okay- so maybe Caleb didn't ask, maybe I am being a little vain today and wanting to show off my vintage yellow earrings, red lips and side bun...and my cutest accessory? Why Mr. Caleb Easton, of course. He complimented my outfit quite well. Okay, maybe he stole the show.

In other news at the Wade household, apparently our townhome has a bi-annual inspection. Which I would beg to say is only an annual inspection since we have been here a year and this was the first I have heard of it. Anyways, our bedroom has been deemed a disaster area. We are devoting Saturday morning to cleaning it as a joint body. It is really that bad...and the inspector saw it! Embarrassing... but I can't pretend like it is usually spotless, it just happened to be extra bad today.

The evening is ending wonderfully though. I made homemade mac and cheese because my beau happens to love this dish... and there is an oreo pie awaiting in the fridge. I surprised him with his favorite food and boy was he excited :)

Mr. Caleb is cutting his first tooth! He is needy, wanting to be held and nursed constantly and running a temperature, and boy was his diaper extra strange and scary today. Poor little man :( Right now he is wanting my help to ride his rocking lion though, so I must go. But, tomorrow is Friday. Oh how I love a good weekend!
