Are you bold or neutral?

I think it is so fun to see the inside of other peoples houses, especially ones that I have known for a while.  I usually assume that people decorate the inside of their homes kind of like the way they dress.  Take for instance my friend Melanie.  She loves anthropologie clothes and a good majority of her wardrobe is from there.  I went into her house and it looked like the anthropologie show room.  A mix of new and vintage items with a robins egg blue, creamy yellow, red, gold, white and chocolate brown color palette.  Then there is my sister Donna.  Her entire wardrobe is made up of blacks, whites and greys.  Every now and then she throws in a pink or blue...but 90% of her clothing is super neutral.  When she decorated her house, it was no surprise to me when I walked in to find white slipcovered sofas, burlap curtains and light sage green toile everywhere...very very neutral.  Her house is very cute and it fits her personality perfectly.
Does your wardrobe match your interior design style?  I would have to say that mine does.  My favorite color is blue in any shade, but especially turquoise.  If I had my way, every room in my house would be a different shade of blue...I love it!  I have managed to use turquoise in my living room, blue in my bathroom, baby blue in Calebs room and I have a yellow and blue kitchen :)
Here are a few outfits with rooms to match.  See if you can tell which palette you are:

Fall in love with Talbots

The new Talbots catalog showed up at my parents house this weekend and I grabbed it to flip through it.  Normally I wouldn't have given it a second thought but I won a fabulous gift card from GRITS and I am trying to decide what to use it on.

Now let me tell ya ladies...their fall collection is fantabulous.  I was shocked at how up to date the styles are.  When I used to think about Talbots, I thought about the older lady crowd walking around in the ritzy part of town with oversized cardigans and pleated khakis that taper at the ankle.  Boy have their clothes changed!  They have some super cute fall outfits out now and I will have to admit that I went and tried on some jeans and I am in love.  They fit like a dream, literally.  Since I had Caleb I have not been able to find jeans that fit and I have tried them on EVERYWHERE!  My favorite fit from Talbots is the boot cut heritage:

Anyways, enough about Talbots.  They aren't paying me to do this...lol...but I am just really impressed with the new catalog and excited to use my gift card :)  Andddd excited for fall!!!!!  This is my first fall in the deep south though and I have heard it is very short.  Virginia and Kentucky have long falls, so this might be a disappointing one spending it in southern Georgia but at least my winter doesn't last until May :)

Plus, I already bought some cute boots, and they WILL be worn, even if it is still 75 degrees in November!

Please tell me I'm not the only one obsessed with grey and ruffles right now?!

I LOVE this combo:

Notice how they wrapped the scarf around and then put a thin belt over that...I really think that is great on this dress.

In love with this jacket...I guess I am in love with everything!

Happy Monday :)

Stopping By

Hello!  Wow, I have missed blogging.  Seth has already made it back to Iraq, but we had a fantabulous R&R.  Now Caleb and I are in Virginia visiting family for a little while.  Here is a little catch up via pictures :)  Miss you guys!

Just Chillin'

We've been taking it easy around here lately and I must say, we are really enjoying being a family of three, all in one place again.

Oh, and this little stinker learned how to maneuver his way out of his crib...G.I Joe style.  This was discovered the day after he learned that he could take his own diaper off during nap time.  This is why I don't like him growing...every time he goes up a clothing size, he gets a little bit smarter.  What a booger!

Happy Weekend :)

*I* found a couple of minutes

Hey guys!  I am having tons of fun with my hubby...we have been eating and shopping and shopping and eating and taking naps and watching our favorite shows together, taking Caleb for wagon rides, having fun playing with Caleb, going on dates (just the two of us) and just plain relaxing.  I found a minute though to post my next hopeful purchase for the living room.  A rug!  Which one is your favorite?
