A little fun

Does anyone else besides me like interesting, random facts?  If you do, continue reading- if you don't, read anyways because you just might get a little smarter :)

1.  Certain frogs can be frozen solid then thawed, and continue living.

2.  On average people fear spiders more than they do death.

3.  Women blink nearly twice as much as men. (I like to think this is because our brains work faster- haha)

4.  A snail can sleep for three years.

5.  In ancient Egypt, priests plucked EVERY hair from their bodies, including their eyebrows and eyelashes. (Doesn't that sound fun? And to think that I have a hard time keeping my eyebrows plucked)

6.  Maine is the only state in the United States whose name has one syllable.

7.  One in every 2000 babies is born with a tooth.

8.  One in every four Americans has appeared on television.

9.  One of the largest carriers of hepitius B is dinner mints.

10.  One plain milk chocolate candy bar has more protein than a banana. (I like this fact!)

11.  Snails produce a colorless, sticky discharge that forms a protective carpet under them as they travel along. The discharge is so effective that they can crawl along the edge of a razor without cutting themselves.

12.  Some people have more bones in their feet than others.

13.  Most cockroaches eaten; Ken Edwards of England ate 36 cockroaches in one minute.

14.  The state of Florida is bigger than England!

15.  Most lipstick contains fish scales!

I found these at funofun.com and bitoffun.com

Re #12: Yeah, my brother had several extra bones in his big toes that he had to have removed because he couldn't curl his toe. Crazy, huh?

And I love the header. Very sweet :)
