The D word

Deployment!
I have been in a blog funk- boo.  I think it has something to do with all this deployment mess!  Trying to get myself back to a "normal" routine though.  Here are some pictures from d-day- and believe me, all of the smiles in these pictures are completely fake.

Last day in the neighborhood for Sethy poo

Kisses

Yes, it was Caleb's birthday that day too- how terrible, right?

No daddy! Don't leave! Pwease?

If ya gonna leave, then at least let me keep this hat

This is such a fake smile- seriously
I guess these pictures are kind of disturbing.  It looks like Seth just got back instead of getting ready to leave.  We had told each other that we were going to be as happy as we could and that we weren't going to cry- although we both broke that promise.

Thankfully, all Caleb was worried about was getting something to eat.

As my friend Sarah would say, this is what sad people look like :(

Sorry for the down post.  I guarantee that the next post will be much happier!

Ciao Bella's,
Kathlyn

Wow, you should see our last pictures. There was no hope of any fake smiles. The red eyes gave it away completely. I would have been able to hold back the tears but it was when both my girls started bawling that I couldn't help but cry with them. It will fly by and we will be praying for a safe return! Hugs, your strong and will get through it. The first month is always the hardest. It never gets easy but it does get easier once you establish that routine!

Hey Kathlyn...don't know that I have anything to say that is REALLY going to make you feel better. I know how it feels dropping them off and then having to drive home, barely seeing through your tears. Just know that this time won't last forever. You are loved and I know lots of people (including Lee and I) are praying for both you and Seth. There is a purpose in this, even if just to draw you closer to the Lord. Focus on Him during this time. Seth will be home before you know it! Love u!

You can see the sadness in your eyes, and that's okay! :) Deployments stink... There is nothing wrong with being in a funk, or having the occasional pity party! Be strong and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers!
