Easy & Quick

Yesterday I experimented with two new "recipes"...both of which, I will have to admit, were ta-licious!  Plus, they were super easy.  I rarely cook anything that is complex and/or takes a lot of time or ingredients...I guess I am a lazy "chef" :-)

Hazelnut Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate

4 cups of milk or water (whichever you prefer for your hot chocolate)
2 heaping tablespoons of unsweetened dark cocoa
1/4 cup of sugar or splenda (more or less, depending on your taste)
4 tablespoons of hazelnut coffee creamer
marshmallows

In a saucepan, heat milk or water.
Add cocoa one tablespoon at a time, stir until all clumps are dissolved.
Add rest of ingredients.
Heat until warm.
Top with marshmallows!

*If you don't like hazelnut you could replace it with a tablespoon of cinnamon or nutmeg for a spicy hot chocolate or a tablespoon of vanilla extract for vanilla hot chocolate!

*Almost* Great for You Baked Apples

3-4 large apples, cored and sliced.
Splenda
Cinnamon
3 Tablespoons of butter
1/2 Cup water

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Lay apples in a shallow dish.
Pour water over them, making sure the entire bottom of dish is covered with about an inch of water.
Sprinkle splenda and cinnamon over apples (as much as you think you would like!)
Slice butter into small pieces and place even on top of apples.
Bake for about 40 minutes.

We ate these by themselves for  dessert and I also warmed the leftovers up and ate them on my biscuit this morning.  They would also be yummy with some vanilla frozen yogurt!
