The stroke of midnight

Here we are, at the ball

Oh! The perils of a military ball. . . okay, I may be exaggerating slightly, because in honesty, I had an evening that I will always hope to have again. However, the etiquette involved was more than I had ever been required to use. I was even afraid to take Motrin at the dinner table but I really didn't want to get up and walk all the way out just to take it, so I sneakily sneaked the Motrin onto my fork and quickly took a bite, tricking everyone at the table, including my husband! Genius? I know. On a more serious note, the best part of the evening was being able to watch the results of my husbands 3 months of work. He organized the event and did a GREAT job, had I only known his reception creating capabilities before we got married! I guess he just got lucky. The guys in his platoon did nickname him "bridezilla"! I still call him that (he's a perfectionist, but is in denial). It was a lot of pressure on him to create a great formal, but he got an A+. Even the Generals wife complimented his great work :) Okay, I think I am done bragging. The ball was a success and I can't wait for another one, although this time I hope my husband isn't in charge so I can actually have a date! :) Until next time. . .
