Williamsburg

I keep putting this post off but I have to post about our trip to Williamsburg.  I left Caleb with my family in Virginia for the weekend and drove to Williamsburg to pick Seth up from the airport so we could spend our very first weekend away, by ourselves, since Caleb was born!  We had SO much fun!  I thought I wouldn't be able to enjoy myself for worrying about Caleb, but I was wrong...we enjoyed spending time alone, not trying to entertain a 2 year old or make sure he's not getting into anything he's not supposed to.  Believe me, we love our little Caleb and enjoy this bittersweet 2 year old stage where one minute he's behaving horrendously and the next, he's the sweetest angel you ever did see.  However, 3 days away from him gave us a much needed break to relax and take time to enjoy each other.  Here are some, okay maybe a lot, of pictures we took while we were there:

We stayed at the Williamsburg Winery and it was beautiful!

Breakfast (my favorite part of the trip..haha!)
I just felt so fancy!
We ate our breakfast on a side wing with tons of windows and a view of the pool and courtyard.
We had quiche, fresh fruit, toast and the best coffee you've ever tasted.

We spent our first day at Busch Gardens.
We saw the huge Clydesdales,

Seth almost bought these ridiculous sun glasses out of desperation.

We took a really dumb picture that makes us look old and crazy,

We rode a horse, or whatever you'd like to call this:

We stomped grapes in Italy,

We tried on some really amazing/creepy masks

That night we ate at Shields Tavern...we definitely felt like we were in a time warp!  Everyone was in period costumes and we ate by candlelight...absolutely no electric lighting in the room! The food was amazing and the portions were huge!  The dishes were replica's of dishes they found when they did some excavating in the back yard...how neat is that?

We also visited the governor's palace and someone was nice enough to take a picture for us...I love people who offer to take a picture!

Isn't it beautiful?

We spent a day walking around historic Williamsburg and a day shopping at the amazing outlet mall!
This wins the award for the most interesting thing we saw, not really sure what it is...some type of boat car???:

We couldn't forget to take photo's of outfit of the day...even Seth let me take one of him with his new Columbia outfit on ;-)

(My new purse my mama bought me for my bday!)

We had a GREAT time!!!  It was fun and relaxing and a trip we will never forget :-)

Local Fashion

Here in Columbus, everyone knows about a cute little boutique called "The Blue Door".  I have lately been obsessed with flipping through their facebook albums.  They post new clothes every day and I drool over them all!  The great thing is that they also have an online shop.  I decided to share a few of my favorite styles with you all.  I hope my husband reads this post so that I just may be "surprised" with a gift card on my birthday, since this is my birthday month :)

Here is the owner in a really cute orange and hot pink top.  I love this color combo.

They had a fun contest this week on their facebook page.  Whoever had the best name for this dress, won it in their choice of color...and my friend Jessi won!  Her winning name was "Tahiti Sweetie".  She has bleach blonde hair and she picked the pink dress which will look fabulous on her! Lucky duck!

I'm not a huge fan of rompers but this one is adorable!

Maxi SKIRT!!!

This one is the one I would buy with my gift card.  It looks so comfortable and you can wear it just like it is or with a sweater when it gets cooler out...I love it!

The perfect work/church dress.  Modest without being frumpy!

Wait! Maybe I would choose this awesome turquoise dress!

How FUN are these tops?

The perfect summer dress, literally perfect!

Sometimes a bold look is the way to go!

Aren't these all soooo cute!?!?!?  Makes me want to throw out all my clothes and restock with clothes from their shop! :)

Happy Friday everyone!  It's the weekend, wear something cute and show us!!!  I'm gonna have a "What I Wore Weekend" Blog party next week, so dress up, take a picture and join the party!

WIWW- What I Wore This Weekend

Actually, I should probably say, "What WE wore this weekend" since Caleb wiggled his little way into just about every picture...he makes me laugh so hard, unless he's yelling "STOP IT!" at me, then it's another story that's not so funny...but I will save all that for another day...anddddd moving on.

Saturday:
Excuse the sleeve that is stuck up...I promise the dress had two matching sleeves.
I won tickets to see "The Little Baby Snoogle Fleejer" downtown at The Springer Opera House, so we dressed up a little bit.  Caleb is wearing seersucker blue and white striped pants, rolled up and a pale blue button down.  I am wearing a grey, knit dress with pearl-like baubles around the neckline and clear jelly shoes.  A few of you asked me last week where my clothes came from and I have to be honest and tell you that most of them are second hand...this one included.

Caleb's escape plan

Sunday:

I channeled a modern Lucille Ball with a full, black and white geometric print, high waisted skirt, a black tshirt and bejeweled sandals.  The little man is sporting a rugby striped Ralph Lauren romper (one of my fav's!)...from ebay...even Caleb isn't safe from the second hand queen!

What did YOU wear this week?
I am still trying to get Seth involved with "Outfit of the Day". He asked me, "What do you win?" Hahahahaha! Imagine his dissapointment when I told him, "nothing".  He's not competitive or anything.

What I Wore this Weekend

I have recently come across several blogs that do "WIWW"- which means "What I Wore Wednesday".  I loved the idea and the weekends are the only days that I have a decent photographer with me (aka: Seth..haha) so I am doing "What I Wore Weekend".

What did you wear this weekend? Or, what will you be wearing this week?
