Britax Roundabout Convertible Car Seat - Cowmooflage DOESN'T get any safer than Britax and this can be used until baby is 50 pounds! Plus it has a super cute print that could be for a baby boy or girl :)

I had to do it

Cutie Pants that is!!!
I just had to create a new etsy shop for my love of baby clothes. Right now I have just added some new, one of a kind pants. Hopefully I will be adding baby hats and leg warmers to the mix :) Very thankful for my very own baby model. Couldn't have hired a cuter model if I had to ;)

Smarty Pants

Atlas Globe pants

Vintage football player pants.

I have been working on these pants for Caleb this week. I have been wanting to sew clothes for him but couldn't find anything that I liked enough to spend the time and money to make (or anything easy enough that I thought I could hack). These, however, take me about 25 minutes per pair. . .super easy and I think he looks like a little cutie pie in them :)

2 years ago. . .

One of the most exciting moments of my life :)

2 years ago today, I married Seth. He is still my best friend and I love him more today than I ever have. I can't believe how much has happened in just two years, but I am ready for everything that is still yet to come. Some days have been more fun than others and some days have been the best days of our lives, like the day we brought Caleb home. I know that there will be many mountains to climb and valleys to go through, but I couldn't have asked for a better man to be by my side. I love you! Happy two years :)

Cozy Saturday

Pink Cloud Cozy

Anchor Cozy

Amy Butler Fabric Cozy

I worked on these yesterday while Caleb napped. He may not be a good night sleeper but he is a great napper (which probably explains the night sleeping!) They are coffee cup cozies. I managed to finish quite a few. The worst part is cutting the fabric out. Once I do that, everything is a breeze. I can't wait to use one of these on my coffee. I am going to use it on my iced drinks too though because I always have to grab a napkin to wrap around my cup. This is just way cooler than a napkin though. My favorite is the nautical anchor one. I think my brother would want that one. I put them in the shop as well. Next on the list: Getting my teacups labeled and ready to take to the home and garden boutique in town. . . I am putting my teacups in a shop! I am excited and nervous but ready to take the next step. I hope you guys have a great weekend. I have some very funny pictures of Caleb to post next week, thanks to a great yard sale find and my friend Kristens persuasion ;)

Content like a baby

As much as I cringe some nights when I hear little Caleb crying out from his crib, all I have to do is reach down to pick up that warm, squishy bundle of fussiness, and all my frustration is gone. I could just stand there, in the middle of the night and kiss him forever (except that he would much rather just eat and go back to bed). He is at such a sweet stage right now. Seth and I will find him staring at us sometimes with a little smirk on his face. We wonder what he's thinking in that brain of his. He can officially roll both ways now. I put his new quilt down on the floor and just watch him roll as far one way as he can before he decides to roll the other way as far as he can. He just lays there and rolls and is completely happy and content. All he asks from us is that we keep him dry and fed and give him a warm place to sleep. As long as we meet these requests, he is the happiest, most content little guy in the world. Have you ever looked at your baby and wished you could be more like them? I am so demanding. Of course I want to eat and sleep and be able to take a shower, but that doesn't quite cut it for me. I also want internet, cable, dinner out occasionally, new clothes, shoes, crafting supplies, patio furniture. I want a bigger house, a bigger car and more money. I want a maid, I want to be a stay at home mom so I can stay at home some days and wish I had a nice pants suit to put on and a job to wear it to. But I know that if I was at work, I would only wish to be back home again. I want a husband who works hard all day and comes home ready to clean, watch the baby, take out the trash, make me dinner and serve it to me on a golden platter. So maybe some of these requests are a bit extreme and I may have exaggerated a few, but in all reality I feel as though sometimes God may wonder why I am always wanting more. He is saying, "Kathlyn, look at all I have given you, A wonderful husband who takes care of his family and who for the past 2 weeks has been at work at 7am and hasn't returned until 7 or 8pm. I have given you a healthy, beautiful baby boy, a home that meets your needs and wants. I have given you more clothes than you are able to wear and so many crafting supplies that you don't know what to do with all of them. You have a new car thats runs perfectly and you have a great home filled with wonderful things." I guess God must think I enjoy dwelling on what I don't have instead of enjoying all that I do have! I know that I am human with a sinful nature, but today my prayer for myself is that I can look at Caleb and be reminded of how easy it is to please him. How content he is once his needs are met. God has told me that because I have asked him in my heart and because I believe that He died for me, was buried and rose again, I can live forever with Him in Heaven and that while I am here on this earth, He will always, always meet my needs. I will take it one day at a time, but my challenge to myself is that I can be reminded constantly of all I have been blessed with and be content in the joy of the Lord.

Newness Moooooness

New everythings!

New pictures of mommy and Caleb :)

New hair color. Even though it looks normal, you didn't see what it looked like before I went to the salon to get it fixed. Never try to lighten your hair yourself, lesson learned for the second time.

This chunky man weighs 15.8 pounds! He is 26 inches long and cares nothing about eating real food. He is still nursing exclusively but the doctor said that he is obviously getting enough calories, haha. He is a little chunky bear!

Here is where the mooooness part comes into play. This is Calebs new little moo moo outfit that finally fits him! From his Honey and Pops. He also has a pirate one to try out too!

New sprouts in my new herb kit pot. They popped up fast! This is either sage, thyme, or basil. I think it is thyme, but I forgot to label them.

New teacups in the shop. Paula gets Preppy.

The Brightly Painted Peacock Teacup. I got a color thang goin on here (can you hear my southern twang?) ;)
New just for fun posters :)

And my newest addition happened to be to my mouth. . . a new filling! Yuck! Except that this was the most painless dentist I have EVER been to. He had some sort of magic numbing medicine because it worked like a charm. That, and I prayed really hard!

So what's new your way?

Funny Feet

Caleb found his hands about 2 months ago, and now, he has finally found his feet. . .I think he is going to be tall.
